Mifflin County wrestlers top CV in thriller

LEWISTOWN – Thursday in front of the Dawg Pound, the Mifflin County wrestling team battled a very tough Cumberland Valley squad.

The Huskies sent the home crowd home happy as they took the win in a thrilling 31-29 win.

The Huskies got clutch wins from a lot of their veterans. Picking up the wins were the following.

At 152, Parker Kearns continues his dominating streak taking home the fall over Owen Prycl at 0:51.

160-pounder, Deakon Schaeffer won by major decisionover Andrew Alderman, 18-6.

Avery Aurand at 172, joined the pin club as he got the count on Samuel Norris at 1:46.

Gavin Mickey took an easy win at 189 winning by forfeit.

In the heavyweight decision at 285, MIfflin County’s Truitt Davis blanked Tyler Byerly 6-0.

Rounding out the wins for the Huskies at 107 was Andrew Alexander as he also notched a pin over Noah Milligan at 2:59.
