Nittany Lions roll over the Blue Hens

UNIVERSITY PARK – The 1-0 Penn State Nittany Lions clashed with the also undefeated Delaware Blue Hens for the first time in History.
The running game and the defense carried the Nittany Lions to the 63-7 victory.
Running back Kaytron Allen was at his best with 19 carries for 103 yards. Fellow running back and fan favorite Nick Singleton carried the ball twelve times totaling 47 yards while finding the end zone three times notching the hat trick.
On Delaware’s second drive, Marcus Yarns rushed for a 66-yard touchdown making the score 14-7 with 1:05 remaining In the first quarter.
Tyler Warren Had six receptions for 37 yards and recording a touchdown .
Warren’s longest play was nine yards.
Omari Evans totaled four yards finding the endzone once In the victory.
Theo Johnson was a factor early with two passes thrown to him From quarterback Drew Allar.
Johnson was kept silent the remainder of the game.
Allar Himself had a rushing touchdown in the victory for the Nittany Lions.
All Three PS Quarterbacks played today. Beau Pribula totaled eight attempts for 46 yards.
Pribulia also found the end zone once his longest play of the afternoon was 18 yards.
Pribulia replaced Allar in the third quarter with 9:41 Remaining.
Later in the game with 3:05 remaining Jaxon Smolik entered the game.
Penn State had a good defensive showing.
The Nittany Lions had two penalties in the game which resulted in a drive being extended for Delaware.
The defense stepped up big in the third quarter Dominic DeLuca picked off Zack Marker taking it back to the House for a pick six.
The Younger talent came in late. Running back Tank Smith came in late rushing for 29 yards. All of his carries were for positive yards. Running Back Trey Potts rushed for 59 yards with seven carries. On The Defensive side for the Blue Hens, Jackson Taylor recorded 10 tackles. Nic Ware finished up nine Tackles. The Nittany Lions Will head To Champaign Illinois next Saturday. The game is slated for a Noon kickoff. Delaware will head back home to clash with Saint Francis On Saturday.
The Nittany Lions improve to 2-0 while the Blue Hens fall to 1-1 on the season.
