The Mifflin County junior high cross country team competed in their final dual meet of the season at Indian Valley Elementary.

It was a beautiful day to run with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s with bright sunshine.

On the boy’s side, Anthony Palopoli finished first overall in a thrilling finish. Anthony led for most of the race until a Blackhawk runner took the lead going into the final stretch. Anthony fought back and won by four tenths of a second.

Colton Leister, Craig Whitenight, and James Ketchem all ran hard fought races as well.

We are proud of the work our boys have put in all season! They will now prepare for next Saturday’s (10/21) Pennsylvania Middle School Cross Country Championships at Lock Haven University.
