Penns Valley doubles off Tyrone

The Penns Valley girls’ soccer team dominated their contest against visiting Tyrone Monday, doubling up the Golden Eagles 4-2.
In the shots department, the Rams held a dominating 30-3 advantage in the shot department.
Penns Valley led off the scoring when Aliyah Fetterolf picked up a goal at 5:10.
After about 25- minutes later, the Rams would score again this time Anna Korman thanks to an by Hannah Montminy at 30:00 put her team up 2-0.
The Rams went up 3-0 when Sydney Riegel found the back of the net at 33:00
Tyrone refused to go away as Kendall Markley brought her team to within two after a goal at the 39:30 point.
But the Rams would add an insurance goal thanks to Hannah Montminy picking up a late goal.
Tyrone scored the last goal when Riley D’Angelo hit it in in the final minute but it was too little too late as the Rams held onto the victory.
There was no JV game.
Penns Valley’s record is 3-4-1, next game is home vs Moshannon Valley tomorrow at 6:00pm.
