PSU Scores A Major Upset!

STATE COLLEGE – The Nittany Lions arguably scored their biggest victory under head coach Mike Rhoades as they defeated the 11th ranked Wisconsin Badgers giving them their first loss in Big Ten play by the final score of 87-83 Tuesday night.
With this victory, Penn State ended their two game losing streak after falling to Northwestern and the number one ranked team in the nation the Purdue Boilermakers.
The Nittany Lions were ahead after one half of play with a slim 39-35 lead. Both teams were pretty even in the second half with both scoring 48 points in the final half.
Penn State shot over 50 percent from the field while also hitting their shots from three hitting 40 percent from beyond the arc.
Leading the charge for the Nittany Lions were the dynamic duo of guards, Kanye Clary who led with a game high of 27 points, three assists and four rebounds and Adrian Baldwin Jr who scored 20 points, five assists and three rebounds. Forward Nick Kerns also had himself a double digit scoring night as he collected 15 points.
For the Badgers, they had five different players who scored in double digits for the evening in Tyler Wahl, Max Klemit, John Blackwell, Steven Crowl who also had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and finally, AJ Storr who had the team high of 23 points.
The Nittany Lions are back at .500 with an (9-9) overall record and are not (3-4) in the Big Ten and will look to get a winning streak going as they hit the road to face the Ohio State Buckeyes this Saturday at noon on the Big Ten Network.
