Q&A with Huskies place winner Christian Fisher
Editors note: Christian Fisher was interviewed by Hometown Sports editor Kenny Varner right after being honored for competing at the PIAA wrestling championships held at the Giant Center in Hershey, where he finished eighth in the state.
KV: Tell me how the season went and how it felt to stand on the podium at the Giant Center at States afterwards?
CF : Well, the season went pretty well. I got a lot of wins in a lot of close matches. Had a couple lumps in the Powerade tournament, I didn’t place there even though I should’ve. In the postseason I was really able to turn it on. I was able to get the states. Standing on the podium, I was happy but I could’ve been happier. I wanted a higher place.
KV: How do you feel going into next year? Do you feel that this is a great starting spot for you going into the season?
CF: I’m definitely ready for next year and I’m ready to climb the podium.
KV: You guys don’t get much time off do you are you already back in training?
CF: I’ve been lifting a lot and not this week but the week after I will. E wrestling in the FloNationals.
