Romig helps lead Penns Valley to a tough win over Juniata

MIFFLINTOWN – Less than a day after defeating Centre County rival Bellefonte, the Penns Valley Rams were back on the court, traveling to Mifflintown to battle Juniata.
Tuning up for a high seed in the post season, the Rams continued it strong play, topping the Indians 73-48.
Juniata standings out, Jasper Shepps led the team in scoring, posting a 14-point effort.
His teammate Wyatt Stoner followed close behind with 13 points on the night.
Penns Valley’s leading scorer on the night was Senior Jackson Romig. Romig posted a game-high 18-point effort in the win.
Fletcher Ironside was next with 17 while Carter Ironside contributed 12.
In the first quarter, Penns Valley continued its hot hand, outscoring the Indians 15-8.
The Rams continued to hit the bucket in the second as well posting an 18-point Penns Valley effort.
But Juniata was heating up as well posting 18.
Going into the half, Penns Valley held a 33-26 lead.
Sizzling shooting continued for the Rams coming out of the break distanced themselves outscoring the Indians 22-10.
Things continued to roll for the Rams as they went onto the 73-48 contest.
