WINGATE – It was their time to shine!

Taking their skills to the next level, seven Bald Eagle Area athletes signed the letters of intent to their respective schools Monday in front of family and friends at the Bald Eagle Area High School.

The line up of athletes were like a who’s who of the Eagles football team and state champion baseball teams.

Bald Eagle football coach opened the ceremony and talked to the athletes directly.

“Today is your day,” said Nagle. “To me this is a very special day. It’s all about opportunities for kids in life. Football and baseball has given these seven kids opportunities. We have kids from Division lll to Division l level but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter. The end of the day it’s about giving a kid an opportunity in life, an opportunity to get an education and an opportunity to succeed.”

First to be called up to the stage would be Kahale Burns who signed to play baseball at Mansfield University.

Staying on the baseball side, it would be Tayten Yoder’s turn as he signed to continue his successful baseball career at Lock Haven University.

On the football side, Nicholas Wible started things out as he will be taking his talents to Huntingdon to play for the Juniata Eagles.

Kicker Kaden Burns will be heading to the same school as fellow Eagle Yoder but for football at Lock Haven.

Teammate Cam Watkins will be heading to DI college in Virginia Military Institute.

Gavin Burns will be suiting up next year for Lycoming College as he continues his successful career.

Another Division l commit for the Eagles was Eric Clark. Clark will playing on the gridiron for the Midshipman of Navy.

Rounding out the commits on the evening was Alex Lefebvre. Lefebvre will also be heading to Lock Haven as a member of the Eagles squad.

The road for these seven are set for making special memories. Each has shown that they have what it takes to be successful at any level.
