State College baseball bankrupts Millionaires

State College Varsity Little Lions scored seven runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Williamsport 11-5 on Saturday. Austin Harter singled, scoring two runs, Logan Shannon doubled, scoring one run, Zach Mazer drew a walk, scoring one run, Wyatt Bair induced Jake Hall to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, and Jensen Chesnut singled, scoring two runs.

State College Varsity Little Lions added one run in the second. Harter singled, making the score 8-0.

Gino Pighetti earned the win for State College Varsity Little Lions. They allowed six hits and four runs (three earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Trey Damschroder took the loss for Williamsport. They went one-third of an inning, allowing seven runs on four hits, striking out none and walking four. Samuel Janik appeared in relief for State College Varsity Little Lions.

State College Varsity Little Lions tallied 11 hits in the game. Harter provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led State College Varsity Little Lions with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day.

Shannon, Chesnut, Jack Coleman, Harter, and Sebastian Rhoades each collected two hits for State College Varsity Little Lions. State College Varsity Little Lions had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game.

State College Varsity Little Lions turned one double play in the game.

Quenton Mazzante, Caiden Helmrich, Coen Britton, and Deacon Brown each collected two hits for Williamsport. Mazzante, Britton, Brown, Caiden Robertson, and Cole Shuler each drove in one run for Williamsport
