Terrace Midgets top Burnham

In the Freedom Bowl, the Burnham Bulldogs Midget team went up against a fiesta group from the Terrace.
Despite an early lead by the Bulldogs it would be the Tigers night as they eeked out a lose 20-12 victory.
On the first play of the game, the Bulldogs wasted no time at all getting on the scoreboard as Richard Darin scored on a 75-yard scamper with 9:34 still on the first quarter clock, making it 6-0.
After holding the Terrace to a three and out, the Bulldogs got the ball and continued to push the ball downfield on a 12-play drive.
However, despite getting the ball to the Tigers one, the drive stalled and the Terrace offense got the ball back.
Once again, the Bulldogs defense forced the Tigers to punt.
Starting at the Tigers’ 20, Burnham went down deep into the Terrace red zone.

Eight plays later, Nick Crownover picked up his team’s first touchdown as he scored on a 20-yard jaunt. With the successful extra point, the Tigers led 7-6.
Both teams would head into the intermission with the same score.
