They keep rolling and rolling and rolling! MC LAX girls top Selinsgrove

The MIfflin County Girls’ Lacrosse team tightened up the strings and played a superb game at their first home game this season win a 17-3 win over Selinsgrove.

“Our offense continues to grow in confidence,  spreading the offensive attack across seven players this time,” said MIfflin County coach Theresa Lamont

The MC Passing was on target tonight! Junior Sadie Fike led the charge with five goals, getting everything started within the first minute with a RIDICULOUS riser to the goalie’s off-side!   An A+ skill by a talented and hardworking player!

Freshman Mara Gallo scored four, Emma Richey, Kashia Smith, and Monica Druckemiller pitched in two each, and newcomer to the scoring scene with one goal was Hailee Sheetz.

“Defensive play is always the key to the success of teams,” said Lamont. “Our defensive players continue to demonstrate a cool, calm, assertiveness in the critical scoring area; shutting down practically everything that came their way!”

Huskies move to 5-1 facing a very strong Bellefonte team tomorrow at 4:30 Kish St Field.

The Huskies JV made a huge statement with a solid 7-1 win making them 3-0-1.  Once again, strength and confidence in the offensive attack led to seven shooters with five of them finding the net.  Newcomer Paige Shugarts went to the net back to back times to start the scoring securing her two goals, Gallo had two, Aly Hassinger, Mo Kaniecki, and Macey Rheam each added one.  Goalie Ella Kammerer had seven saves.  JVs will also see game time on Thursday against Bellefonte playing after the varsity game.
