Wilde/MC Babe Ruth presents regular season awards

BELLEVILLE – Before the beginning of the 15-year old Mifflin County Babe Ruth State opener over Valley, legendary Babe Ruth historian Ray Wilde issued out the regular season award.
Congratulations went to the 1st place Mifflin County Babe Ruth regular season winner McVeytown. They were coached by Justin Yoder.
Finishing in the second spot was Strodes Mills coached by Bub Parker.
Coached by Steven Alexander, Burnham picked up the third place nod for the season.
The MVP award went to McVeytown’s Brian Yetter. He also picked up the batting championships en route to the MVP bid.
Yetter set a new home run record with 17 round trippers. He also had 13 doubles, a triple and 33 RBIs.
On the mound, he had a record of 4-1 with 61 strike outs.
The MC Pitcher award went to Connor Cherry Strodes who finished with a record of 5-1 and an ERA way below 2.00.
The John Howe sportsmanship award this season was awarded to Burnham’s Ely Hannon.
