At Home on the road, Bald Eagle Softball posts win over Central

MARTINSBURG- Two in a row on the week, the Bald Eagle softball team picked up an important win Tuesday afternoon against Central 10-6.
Winning pitcher on the day was Maddie Peters as she gave a 7-innings, 6 runs- 9 hits- 8 SO – 1 BB effort in the win.
The Lady Eagles were led offensively by Marina Shawley (3 hits, two doubles, 3RBI’s). Mara Hockenberry (two hits and a double) and Maralee Caldan (double).
Central’s highlight of the game came on a Cameron Fetters 2-run home run and Maddie Metzler’s 3-hit outing.
“Solid game defensively and offensively. Timely hitting and again stringing hits together,” said Bald Eagle coach Don Lucas. “We were very aggressive on the base paths taking advantage of any opportunity we had to advance. Maddie was again very solid in the circle. Was very pleased with a total team effort.”
Next game for BEA will be home at Thursday 4:30against Juniata in a Non-conference game.
