Bald Eagle girls fall to Hollidaysburg

The Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team fell to Hollidaysburg Thursday night 2-0 in Laurel Highlands action.

Hollidaysburg led in shots on goal 9-4 and corners 10-2.

I thought the girls played really well tonight. We had a brief lapse at the beginning of the game and Hollidaysburg made us pay for it, but we fought really hard after that and held our own,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “We gave up an own goal late, but the score didn’t reflect the way the girls played.”

BEA goalie Makayla Spicer finished with eight saves while Hollidaysburg goalie Natalie Foster finished with four.

BEA Record: 8-8-1 overall, 7-8-1 LHAC

Next Game: 1st Round of D6 A playoffs.
