Bald Eagle girls finish with tie against Forrest Hills
In a Laurel Highlands Thursday night battle, Bald Eagle Area and Forrest Hills met in girls soccer action.
When the game ended both finished with three.
Adrienne Hacker finished with a hat trick for the Eagles in the contest.
“Resilience is the word that comes to mind. Goong down 2-0 in the first half is tough but the girls battled back into it and cut the lead to 2-1 at half with Sybil Thompson earning a PK and Adrienne Hacker finishing it. We made an adjustment at halftime and Sybil found Adrienne for a nice goal to tie it,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore said. “After we found ourselves down again, we pressure the box on a corner and earned another PK and Adrienne put it in to finish her hat trick. It’s hard to take one PK let alone 2 and she was fantastic. We controlled the pace of the game better in the 2nd half and overtime. Addisyn Burns made 2 sliding breakaway tackles to help us out in overtime. She was outstanding tonight! It was a hard fought comeback and I am very proud of how the girls played. It showed a ton of heart and resilience. “
