Bald Eagle dominates Mounties

WINGATE – Onward and upward.

The Bald Eagle Area wrestling team continues its winning ways as the season hits the midway point, defeating Philipsburg-Osceola 45-26 Thursday night at Bald Eagle Area High School.

At 182, Bald Eagle picked up the first win as Noah Foltz pinned Cody Beauseigneur by Fall at 2:32.

195-pounder, PO bounced back Parker Moore picked up the forfeit, tying things at six.

220: Chandler Burns got the Eagles back in the lead at 220 pounds winning by a forfeit of his own.

Bald Eagle took the 285-pound weight class as David Close pinned Chase Klinger at 1:43.

106-pounder Hunter Ishler gave the Eagles yet another win this time was by yet another forfeit.

At 113, Eagle Coen Bainey picked up a 5-0 decision over Nick Coudriet.

The wins kept coming for Bald Eagle when at 120, Cooper Gilham pinned Scott Frantz at 1:26.

126-pounder Jeffrey Piffer topped POs Nick Bryan by a 7-2 decision.

At 132, the Mounties Gabriel Dunkelberger put the Mounties back in the win column with his pin over Isaac Packer late at 5:46.

At 138, Chase Chapman made it back-to-back wins as he pinned Grace Stem at 1:31.

145: Gage McClenahan (BEAH) over Austin Foster (POAH) (Fall 0:28)

Bald Eagle came back at took the 152-pound weight class as Zander Ballock picked up a 7-2 decision over Luke Hughes.

160-pounder Dominic Shaw took a nail biting 2-1 decision over Bald Eagles’ Camden Comly.

In the final match at 170, PO’s Hunter Weitoish won over Matthew Knepp by tech. fall 17-2 at 3:05.
