Bald Eagles and Bearcats tie in girls soccer

Wednesday night the Bald Eagle  girls soccer team and Huntingdon found themselves in a dogfight from beginning til end finishing in a 1-1 tie.

“The girls played great tonight for 100 minutes. I couldn’t have been more proud. They fought hard and the defense was lights out. Sarah Holler hit a perfect free kick that was flicked in by Falen McHenry with 2:20 left in regulation to tie it up,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “Rachel Veneziano made a great diving save with a minute left to keep it tied going into overtime. Both teams played a great game”

The Eagles held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal. 

BEA goalie Rachel Veneziano tallied three saves while 

Huntingdon’s  M. Woodward finished with five.

Huntingdon took an early lead. With 20:59 M. Deforrest found the back of the net.

Late in the game BEA’s Falen McHenry hit a goal with an assist by Sarah Holler, knotted things at one at the 77:40 mark. 

BEA is now 0-1-1 overall, 0-1-1.
