BEA girls tie Central

WINGATE -The Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team and Central battled through two overtimes and it still couldn’t claim a winner as they had to settle with a 0-0 tie.
In Corners, Central led 5-0, and held the advantage in shots on goal 13-3.
In Saves, Bald Eagle’s Charlee Harris captured 13 while Central goalkeeper Blair Miller had three.
“I have never seen a group of girls play harder for 100 minutes than I did tonight. The girls played the best game I think I’ve ever seen. I told them it would be a defensive grinder and that we would have to make good on our opportunities. I thought we had some good chances and just couldn’t get one in the net. Our defense was outstanding tonight,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore. “They were tough, stood their ground and just played a perfect game. Charlee Harris was great in goal. She make 4 or 5 key saves late in the game and in overtime to keep us in it. The girls played with real heart and it was amazing to watch.”
With the tie the Bald Eagle Record is currently 1-1-1.
The Eagles next game is Tomorrow , Wednesday at Huntingdon.
