Bellefonte boys and girls take top spot at ML XC championships

Wednesday, Bellefonte won both the boys’ and girls’ meet in the last Mountain League cross country championships.

Winning the Mountain League All-Stars for the 2022 cross country season were Chad Muckey (PO), Chase Ebling (Bellefonte), Alex Crist (Bellefonte), Colton Wagner (BEA), McClain Reamer (PV), Aiden Detwiler (Tyrone), Abe Manfred (Huntingdon), Alex Mansfield (Bellefonte) and Eli Fox (Clearfield ).

On the girls side, MVP Alexis Durn (PV), Scarlett Singleton (Clearfield), Danna Bender (Clearfield), Ashley Auckerman (Bellefonte), Lilly Smith (PV). Jaylee Cook (PO), Sophia Moyer (Huntingdon) and Kate Rarrick (Bellefonte).

Muckey of Philipsburg-Osceola won the individual boy’s title and Durn of Penns Valley won the individual girl’s title. Both Muckey and Durn were regular-season league MVPs. Bellefonte was the boys’ regular season champion and Penns Valley was the girls’ regular season champion.
