Bellefonte Jr. high girls wins over Clearfield 5- 2
BELLEFONTE – The Bellefonte Junior High Girls continue to roll early this season. In just their second game, the Red Raiders posted a convincing 5-2 victory over Clearfield Monday night.
A.J. Bell led the offensive attack with two goals on the contests. Her first shot was a great one time shot on a drop from Lindsay Carmack (assist), Her second came from a great volley off a beautiful cross from Mallory Smith.
The “black and red” picked up goals by:
Kara Bates (unassisted), Madison Steiner (unassisted) and Mallory Smith (unassisted)
Bellefonte outshot Clearfield 29 – 8.
In the saves department Cati Besch collected 6 while Maddie Polkinghorn tallied 1.
Bellefonte is currently 2 – 0 and next plays Central tomorrow night.
