Penns Valley tops Philipsburg 2-0

PHILIPSBURG –The Penns Valley girls soccer team out shot Philipsburg-Osceola 17-6 in their 2-0 victory over the Mounties.

“The girls played pretty well overall tonight but we need to get more efficient at shooting. We created many opportunities but we didn’t finish well,” Jeff Smucker said. “The Philipsburg goalie did a nice job of coming out and putting pressure on our shooters. It is always nice to get another shutout.”

The Rams also led in corner opportunities 5-2.

Keeper Saves Penns Valley’s Kylie Orndorf stopped 6 while Phlipsburg- Osceola’s Makenzie Myers collected 15.

The next game for Penns Valley will be Wednesday September 10th at home versus Central (Martinsburg) at 4pm.
