Bellefonte sweeps Hollidaysburg in weekend Doubleheader

On Saturday, the Bellefonte softball team had their bats out and ready to explode as they combined to outscore Hollidaysburg 20-0 in their double header at home.

In the first game, Lexi Rogers was again her dominant self, tossing a two-hitter over the Tigers .

With the win, Rogers went to 8-1 on the season as she struck out 10 in the 5-inning contest.

Top Hitters on the day were Tori Reichert (1-3, 2B, RBI), Lexi Rogers (2-3, 2RBI), Hanna Lauck (2-3, 2RBI), Maddie Tice (2-4, 2B, 2RBI), Makenna Port (1-3, RBI) and Madison Melius (1-2)

Game 2

Bellefonte 10, Hollidaysburg 0

Josselyn Nau got the nod as the Raiders’ hurler in game two.

She was very successful as she tossed a 3-hitter as she finished with three strike outs.

“Bellefonte is now 9-1. Congrats to Josselyn Nau on her first varsity win in the circle in game two,” said Bellefonte coach Travis Foster.

Top Hitters in the second contest were Lily Gardner (1-3, 2B,), Tori Reichert (2-3, 2B, 2RBI), Lexi Rogers (2-3, 2B, 3RBI), Maddie Tice (3-3, 2B, SB) and Madison Melius (3-3, 2RBI).
