Bellefonte tops Nittany Valley in 11-12 year old action

Future teammates took to the baseball diamonds this past Little League All-Stat post season when the Nittany Valley 11-12 year olds met up with the right to move on.
With game played at Nittany Valley, the two fought back and forth, leaving nothing left on the field.
In the end, the Bellefonte team would come out victorious by a slim 11-10 margin.
On the mound for Bellefonte was Haden Alterio while Nittany Valley brought Derek Fravel in as their hurler.
The Red Raiders opened the game with a 5-run offensive explosion.
Alterio led off the inning with a walk.
Conner Grey went downtown, taking an offering deep over the fence for the home run.
The next batter, Stephen Ivicic was hit by a pitch.
Max Rogers put runners on first and third with no outs.
Michael Henry plastered an RBI double, upping the score to 3-0.
Rogers and Henry both later scored on wild pitches.
Nittany Valley closed in in the bottom of the inning scoring three runs.
Ty Kroell started out their innings with a single. Fravel hustled out an infield hit, putting two runners on base.
Landis Peters brought in Kroell after posting a sacrifice.
Blair Eckley-Jones tripled in Fravel and then stole home, making it 5-3.
In the bottom of the second, Nittany Valley took charge temporarily as it posted another four runs to take a 7-5 advantage.
Highlighting the inning was Fravel, who doubled and brought in two runs.
A third inning solo home run to left field by Rogers, cutting the Nittany Valley lead to one.
Bellefonte, on an offensive fourth inning, scored five more runs to up the lead to 11-7.
Despite trying to crawl back little by little through the remaining innings, the feisty Nittany Valley team fell just short, 11-10.
