Bellefonte volleyball opens season with victory over Clearfield

The Bellefonte girls volleyball team picked up its first win in its home opener, defeating Clearfield 25-17, 25-13 and 25-8.

Sophomore Carlee Pepperman had eight kills, three aces and six digs.

Sophomore middle Grace Novitsky had eight aces and two blocks

Sophomore Carley Clarkson had three aces.

Junior setter Madison Melius had three aces, four kills and 12 assists.

In the JV contest, the Raiders fell 25-17 and 25-23.

Alaina Smith had three aces and Sydney Holderman had two aces.
