Big Valley 12U muscles out nail biting victory over Nittany Valley

BELLEVILLE – The Big Valley 12U All-Stars seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple Nittany Valley.


Big Valley trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Reagan Varner doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Chase Krepps led Big Valley to victory by driving in five runs. Krepps  went 3-for-3 at the plate. Krepps  drove in runs on a home run in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the fourth.

In the first inning, Nittany Valley got their offense started when Aiden Carlson grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Big Valley tied things up at five. Big Valley scored two runs when Krepps  singled.

Big Valley put up three runs in the fourth, Chase Krepps and Crosby Sunderland each drove in runs during the inning.

Krepps pitched Big Valley to victory. The righthander went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four.

Evan Yecina took the loss for Nittany Valley. Yecina surrendered two runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one.

Lou Kresovich started the game for Nittany Valley. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four Varner started the game for Big Valley. Varner went three innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and walking one

Big Valley tallied one home run on the day.

Krepps had a long ball in the first inning.

Big Valley collected 12 hits. Krepps , Anderson Bitner, Landon Pecht and Cohen Leister all managed multiple hits for Big Valley. Krepps went

3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Big Valley All Stars in hits.

Nittany Valley racked up nine hits in the game.

Holden Hilliker and Yecina each collected multiple hits for Nittany Valley.
