Lancaster Cyclones win the GEFA Championship

KUTZTOWN – The Lancaster County Cyclones took on the Williamsport Wildcats in the GEFA Championship Game at Kutztown University in Andre Reed Stadium.

Lancaster County has won six Keystone Titles.

Coming into this game, theCyclones got off to a fast start scoring on a one play drive when Greg Medina connected on a pass to Jason Nyhart putting the Cyclones on the board early.

Lancaster County had the better showing at quarterback as the star and experienced quarterback Medina threw three touchdown  passes while defeating the Wildcats 34-27.

It was a rough night for Wildcats quarterback Hassan Brockman as he threw seven interceptions.

Williamsport was down by a big margin but managed to keep it close at the end.

Keith Habersham, had a good defensive showing breaking up passes in the loss.

Matthew Laub was all over the field making tackles.

The Cyclones pressured the Wildcats quarterback Brockman all night long.

Teammate Townsend found his way into the backfield all night so did his fellow fellow defensive mate James Buckner.

Defensive back Gabe George,Ivan Rivera,Mike Rodriguez Jorge Caraballo Jr. all recorded an interception in the win over Williamsport.

George led the way with the most picks in the game picking off Brockman four times.

The Cyclones’ offense spreaded the ball around to different players all night long.

Meanwhile, Williamsport had trouble in the running game with their running backs.

Both quarterbacks ran the ball well. Lancaster county was a little more successful with their running backs tonight as the Cyclones did a little bit of everything.

The Cyclones were nearly silent in the second half, only scoring eight points in the stanza.

Offensively, the Wildcats would attempt to mount a comeback late recovering their own onside kick.

The comeback would come up short as the Cyclones won the Keystone Championship game claiming the trophy.
