Bats Stymied For Both Teams As Bald Eagle  Loses To Punxsutawney

Both teams were strong in the circle on Friday, but Punxsutawney was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Bald Eagle Area. Sierra Albright started the game for the Eagles and recorded 21 The Lady Chucks got on the board in the second inning after Emily Dobbins singled, scoring one run.

Brinley Hallman earned the win for Punxsutawney. The righty allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.

Albright took the loss for Bald Eagle. They went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking two.

Kendra Uberti went 1-for-3 at the plate as the right fielder led the team with one run batted in. Alexis Baney went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead The Eagles in hits.

Bald Eagle were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

Kailey Eckert made the most plays with nine.

Dobbins seized on their opportunities, leading Punxsutawney  with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 3-for-3 on the day.

The Lady Chucks turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Bald Eagle Area is a game against Williamsport on Monday.
