Eagles advance to battle PO for trip to D6 championship

The Bald Eagle Area volleyball team opened its District 6 AA playoff season with a match against a very tough Tyrone team in the Quarterfinal round.


Despite having difficulties with the the Golden Eagles in the regular season, Bald Eagle stepped up its A-game and blanked Tyrone 3-0 with scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 25-18.

Leading the way was Maddie Perry hit .500 on the night with 14 kills. Claire Andrews hit .455 with 6 kills.

Megan Reese handed out 30 assists to lead the way.

Defensively, Perry had 14 digs while Olivia Boone added 10. Claire Andrews and Miya Brooks each had four blocks on the night.

The win sets up another rematch with the tough Philipsburg-Osceola team Thursday night in the District 6 AA semifinals.
