East Juniata earns TVL All-Star Selections

COCOLAMUS – The East Juniata Tigers had nine selections to the Tri-Valley League all-stars for the 2023 fall season through three different sports in volleyball, boys and girls soccer.
Six of the nine Tigers named to all-stars came from the boy soccer squad who in the league finished second in the West division with a record of (10-3-1) allowing 25 goals while scoring 44 goals in league play.
East Juniata two of their players named to the first team with the first being mid-fielder Wrett Smith. The sophomore was among the scoring leaders in the TVL with 34 points. Smith also collected 11 goals and led the league in assists with 12.
Senior defender Trent Robinson was the second and final selection to the first team all-stars. Robinson was a key contributor to the Tigers defense.
The remaining four members of the East Juniata team were named to the second team with senior forward Josef Book. The senior led the TVL among the scoring leaders with 48 points to go along with his league leading 21 goals and six assists.
The next two were defenders Kolten Martin and Clark Ritzman who were also named to the second team and along with Robinson, Martin and Ritzman created a wall that was tough for some offense to get through.
The final second team nod goes to keeper Kelton Bonnell. The sophomore was among the top keepers in the league and collected 120 saves and had a save percentage of 83.
The Tigers had two selections in the all-stars after going (6-6) and taking first in the West division.
Both selections made first team with mid-fielder Addyson Feltman being the first. Feltman was among the TVL leaders in scoring with 19 points and had nine goals and one assist.
The second was senior defender Cadee Becker who helped keep the pressure off of goalkeeper Landyn Cramer.
Last but certainly not least, the Tigers had one selection in volleyball in the form of Kendahl Stroup who was one of three selections that were unanimous. The other two include league MVP Lexi Frontz and Raegan Hale of Millersburg.
Stroup was tied for second place in the league for digs as she scored a grand total of 108 digs.
