COCOLAMUS – On fire!!!!

The East Juniata girls basketball team opened its 2022 part of its campaign lighting up the night, dropping Newport 48-7.

It would be quite a way to honor its seniors in the first game of the new year. P

East Juniata’s Cypress Feltman led the scoring for the Tigers posting a game-high 22 points.

After allowing only five points in the first and two in the second, the Tigers tossed a second-half shut out, en route to the victory.

No Buffalo player scored more than two on the night.

Offensively, East Juniata opened the game with a 10-5 advantage.

Alexis Stuck posted three points in the period to lead the way.

In the second, Feltman started to sizzle as she posted a 12-point effort.

Nine of those points came from beyond the 3-point line.

Going into the half, East Juniata led by a 28-7.

From there, the Tigers offense continued to roll while the defense dominated the contest 48-7.
