East Juniata tops Terrace

Kicking off the Central Keystone Football and Cheer League’s Bowl Weekend, a newcomer, East Juniata, went head-to-head against Terrace in the American Bowl.
It was Tiger versus Tiger in the opener.
In the end, East Juniata had more fire power than the Terrace as it finished with the 26-0 victory.
Leading off with the ball in theirfirat possession, East Juniata wasted little time putting points on the scoreboard.
After starting with the ball on the Terrace 47, the team scored on a fancy double reverse.
Taking the second handoff was Josh Rivas who blazed his way down field and into the end zone on a 41-yard touchdown run with 6:58. Terrace held on the extra point attempt, East Juniata had to settle for the 6-0 lead.
Terrace’s second possession was stalled in its place, going four and out and getting the ball back to East Juniata’s opportunistic offense.
It took just two plays for the East Juniata Tigers to score once again when Wayne Dressler picked up a 39-yard touchdown run of his own.
East Juniata’s extra point attempt was successful, upping it to 13-0.
As the time began to tick away in the first half, East Juniata forced a fumble of Terrace on its own 14.
Sitting on the Terrace end, Rivas got the call again, busting his way through the line for the 14-yard touchdown run, making it 20-0 with 1:19 left until the intermission.
East Juniata got the ball to start the second half and rode its way down the field after starting at its own 47.
On a first and goal on the one yard line and scored to make it 26-0. From there East Juniata went on to hold Terrace scoreless and went on to the 26-0 shut out.
