SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Four Shippensburg University wrestlers have been named 2024 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Scholar All-American.

Sophomore Kyler Everly (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County), freshman Diesel Koser (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area), sophomore Trey Shoemaker (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) and freshman Mason Wolfensberger (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) were the Raiders who were recognized.

Everly, a civil engineering major, and Shoemaker, a criminal justice major, are now two-time NWCA Division II Scholar All-Americans. It is the first Scholar All-American nod for Koser, a geoenvironmental science major, and Wolfensberger, who is majoring in electrical engineering.

In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2024 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.

A total of 371 wrestlers from 63 institutions were honored as Scholar All-Americans, the most in the history of the award.
