From Monday: BEA girls top PV

The Bald Eagle Area Softball team got its season off to a strong start Monday as it took down Mountain League showdown, 4-0.
BEA scored its first run in the first and added a run in the third, upping its lead to 2-0.
The Eagles put the game on ice in the sixth adding two more en route to the victory.
The Eagles Winning pitcher on the day was Zoey Surovec. The Eagles hurler had six strikeouts and a walk and scattered five hits in the victory.
Losing pitcher Lydia Collison finished with four strikeouts and two walks in a losing effort.
Penns Valley’s Achilles heel was its defense as it committed three errors.
Picking up hits for the Rams were     Lydia Collison with two singles and a stolen base, Kendra Bumgardner picked up a double while Jordan Anderson and Allison O’Brien both singled.
The Eagles led the way with six hits.
They were from      Lacee Barnhart – triple, run scored Brooke Woodward who finished with a run scored, Mackenzie McCloskey and Maddison Peters both singled.
Mara Hockenberry also plated home plate on a run scored.
Teammate Maralee Caldama singled as did Tobi Yarrison.
 Megan Kresuvich finished her day with a single and a run scored.
