Grace Prep girls tops Calvary Christian

Grace Prep picked up another win Tuesday as the girls’ soccer team defeated Calvary Christian 6-3.

Grace Prep started the 1st Half Scoring when at the 7th minute, Grace Prep’s Mo Zubler scores as she was assisted by Rebekah Sechler. 

At the 27th minute, Calvary Christian’s Lauren Peachey unassisted goal, tied the contest at one. 

Less than a minute late at the 28th minute Calvary Christian’s Lauren Corbin put her team ahead after posting an unassisted goal, making it 2-1.

Grace Prep took the game in the second half. 

The 2nd Half Scoring started at the

46th minute when Grace Prep’s Galliano scored when she hit on a pass by Abigael Fisher, tying it again. 

On the 50th minute, Grace Prep’s Abigael Fisher hit an unassisted goal to take back the lead at 3-2. 

However, the game would once again find itself in a tie when at the 61st minute, Calvary Christian’s Lauren Peachey hit on an unassisted goal of its own. 

Back came Grace Prep once again. At the 66th minute Grace Prep’s Abigail Galliano assisted by Kadence Barr scored (Abigail scored this goal left-footed off the half-volley).

In the 68th minute, Galliano was back at it assisted by Abigael Fisher (scored off a corner kick). 

In the 73rd minute – Galliano’s unassisted to give her the hat trick and her team the victory. 

Shots on Goals were led by Grace Prep by a 17-4 margin. 

Grace Prep also led in corner kicks 2-1.

In Keeper Saves, Grace Prep’s Makayla Ley finished with one while 

Calvary Christian had 11. 

Grace Prep’s record: 3-5-3

Grace Prep’s next game is Thursday October 11th at Homestead Park State College versus Grier School at 4:30 p.m.
