In a low scoring contest in the JVFL FoxPro Midget Bowl, the Kish Indians did it with defense as they scored once in the first and once in the second halves en route to the 14-0 blanking of the McVeytown Knights.
Kish opened the game with the ball and used much of the first quarter clock before entering the end zone for the first time.
With 4:19 showing on the clock, the Indians called on Brody Schnell to run it in from 4-yards out. Schnell was successful, giving his team a 6-0 advantage.
Both defenses, like in most of the other JVFL Bowl games, were tough and the first half ended 6-0.
Right after the third quarter, the Indians scored once again, adding the insurance points it needed.
The Kish defense held the Knights on all four second half possessions to take home the victory, 14-0.
