Juniata’s junior Jessie Bomberger and freshman Sylvia Brubaker competed in the girls mile race. Jessie was in the first heat running a time of 6:52.14 for 7th place in the heat and 28th place overall in all heats combined. Sylvia ran in the second heat placing 5th with a time of 5:43.07. She end up finishing 13th place overall in all 3 heats combined.
Juniata’s Distance Coach Jeff Miller said “This was our first indoor track meet this season so it gave us a chance to race and see where we are at. Both Jessie and Sylvia have hardly any experience running indoors so they gained valuable experience at Kevin Dare. Josef showed his talent with two solid performances in the hurdles and long jump.”
