Juniata boys soccer doubles up Halifax
Doubling up!
Lately, the Juniata boys soccer team has been rolling through its competition.
Saturday was no exception as the Indians defeated Halifax 4-2.
In the first half, Halifax scored the first goal of the contest.
Avery Portzline posted two goals and two assists in the game.
Trailing 1-0, at 34:25 Arthur Hazard scored off an assist by Avery Portzline.
But Halifax rallied back to get back the lead at the 28-minute mark.
Despite trailing at the half, Juniata rallied back in the second.
At 39:43, Juniata’s Anthony Maradiago scored via a pass by Avery Portzline, tying things at two.
Avery Portzline put his team ahead as he scored on a Penalty Kick at 23:46.
11:14 Avery Portzline added an insurance goal at 11:14 when he scored off an assist by Anderson Portzline.
Shots on Goals for the night proved the Indians were in charge, posting a 15-9 advantage. They also led in corner opportunities by a 6-4 margin
Halifax led in saves by a 12-10 margin.
