Juniata head coach Jeff Miller said “We had some great performances today.  We used this invite as preparation for the Hershey State Championship course since it has a lot of short steep hills in it.  We will be competing at Hershey Foundation Invitational next weekend.  Wyatt, Joey, and Wesley showed they put in the summer miles by making the podium.  Sylvia ran another solid race to place 3rd in AA.  Jessie had a much better race today.  Teagan dropped a good bit of time since our last invite two weeks ago for a personal best.  Joel also ran to a personal best time today by dropping almost a minute from our last invite two weeks ago.  8th grader Carolyn Heidenreich showed her running talent by making the podium.  I thought 8th grader Josiah Barner ran well in the boys junior high race.  His lack of racing experience cost him some time, but I’m sure he will do what he can do to improve for the next race.”
Juniata will compete next Saturday, September 23rd at the Hershey Foundation Invitational that is held on the Hershey PIAA State Championship course.
