Juniata girls start week with a clutch fourth quarter comeback

The Juniata girls basketball team opened the week on a strong note, defeating Susquenita Monday 37-29 in Tri-Valley League action.

Leading the way offensively was MacKenzie Bennett as she finished with a game high 15.

Teammate Regan  Lowery rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.

The Blackhawks opened the game with the advantage holding the Indians to three.

However, Juniata’s defense was almost as good allowing just six.

The Indians started to try to turn the momentum in the second but only was able to score a 9-8 second period.

Coming out of the intermission, the two teams played to a stalemate as both teams scored 10.

the Lady Indians changed the pace of the game in the final stanza as they were able to break through with a 16-point quarter while holding the Blackhawks to only five en route to the come from behind victory.
