Juniata Swimmer Houtz performs well at Nationals

Juniata Swimmer Sydney Houtz  just got back from the 2019 YMCA Short Course Swimming Nationals at Greensboro, NC, that was held April 1-5.

She swam five individual events and swam in five relays.  She had five personal best times in all her individual events.

Highlights include:

200 backstroke 2:03.99, dropped 2.3 seconds.  She was seeded 94th, and moved up to 48th nationally.

100 butterfly 56.59.  Seeded 55, finished 38th.

200 butterfly 2:06.28, dropped 4 seconds.  She was seeded 100th, and finished 34th in the nation.

She had a strong week and performed well.  She will participate in the 2019 YMCA Long Course Nationals at the University of Maryland this summer.
