Lady Huskies continue its strong push, tops Millionaires

LEWISTOWN – They continue to make a run at history!
The MIfflin County girls basketball team has been making quite a season to remember with its winning ways.
Monday night the trend continue as MIfflin County took care of Williamsport 57-46.
Marissa Gingrich was the leading scorer posting an 18-point effort.
Her teammates Bri Bodtorf and Kate Knable finished with a 12-point and 10-point effort, respectively.
Mifflin County opened the first quarter taking a 14-8 advantage going into the second.
The second saw more from the Huskies’ offense as it continued to add to its lead over the Millionaires taking the quarter by a 17-10 margin.
Going into the intermission, MIfflin County posted a 31-18 advantage.
Williamsport came out of the half to take the third, 18-13, cutting it to 44-36.
However, the Huskies would end the contest with a 13-10 period to take the victory on Senior night.
In the JV contest, Mifflin County also notched the victory, winning 38-26 over the Millionaires.
Jalee Bodtorf led the Lady Huskies with 15 while teammate Amelia Leister finished with 12.
