BELLEFONTE – They are building the foundation.

Bellefonte’s girls basketball team went toe-to-toe with Clearfield before falling 49-35 Friday night at Bellefonte high school.

Bellefonte High Scorer on the night was Maria Cotter with 11. She was the only Raider in double figures.

The Bison were led by Emma Hipps who finished with a game-high 20.

Teammate Cayleigh Walker finished with 15.

“We played with a lot of heart and passion today. It was a great effort by the girls and I am proud of what they did. It was a tough hill to climb when Clearfield goes 21 for 34 from the free throw line but we fought until the end,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer said. “Though we didn’t get the result we wanted, this team continues to show positive progress.”

The Current Record for Bellefonte is 1-9 while the Raiders Next Game is at P-O on Monday.
