Lady Raiders tripped up by Clearfield

The Clearfield softball team gave the Lady Raiders only their third loss in 10 games, defeating Bellefonte 7-1.

Lexi Rogers took the loss going 5 1/3 innings, giving up five hits, seven runs and five strike outs. She also had six walks on the night.

Top Hitters for Bellefonte were Mallorie Smith (2-for-3, 2B, 3B), Hanna Lauck (1-for-3, RBI) and Emma DeHaas (1-for-3, 2B).

Clearfield opened the game posting three runs.

The Lady Raiders retaliated with one in the bottom of the inning.

However, the visitors added three in the fourth and one in the sixth to hold onto the win.

Bellefonte is 9-8, plays at Bald Eagle 5/7, at Clearfield 5/10.
