Little Mingoes top Juniata 21-6

In a battle of Mifflin County versus Juniata County, the Little Mingoes had it going on both sides of the ball and outlasted the Juniata Indians 21-6 in the JVFL Midget Tennis Towing Bowl.
The Mingoes wasted no time at all getting the first points on the board, scoring on its first possession of the ball game.
After its defense held the Indians at the Mingoes 44, the offense have the ball to running back Brooks Burdick. Burdick did not disappoint as he rambled down the field for the 56-yard touchdown run, making it 6-0.
Once again the Little Mingoes defense held and got the ball back to its opportunistic offense.
It would take just one play to score the second touchdown as well when Gage Schaeffer rolled out and then down from 16-yards out. This time, the Mingoes converted the 2-point conversion and went ahead 14-0 with 2:14 left in the opening quarter.
With time running out in the half, the Little Mingoes scored one last time as Schaeffer once again picked up the touchdown, upping the lead at 21-0 at the half.
Juniata never gave up as it foiled the Mingoes shut out with a touchdown on the very last play of the contest.
