The Mifflin County Boys Basketball team won the Franklin County Tournament this weekend, defeating Greencastle-Antrim in the Championship game, 43-34.

It was a team effort from start to finish, with defense leading the way, as the Huskies held their opponent to only 3 points in both the first and third quarters.

The boys were led by sophomore guard Evan Strohecker, who finished with 10 points. Seniors Tagg Silfies and Jayden Bilger, along with Freshman Jack Curry added 9 points each.

Senior guard Tagg Silfies also walked away with the Tournament MVP trophy, with Evan Strohecker also being selected to the All-Tournament Team.

The Boys will be back in action on Tuesday night for their home-opener when they take on Shikellamy. The JV game is set to start at 5:30 PM, with the Varsity game beginning at 7.
