Mifflin County boys basketball team opens season with win

The Mifflin County Huskies traveled to Greencastle-Antrim High School to participate in their Varsity tip-off tournament on Friday.
The Mifflin County Huskies traveled to Greencastle-Antrim High School to participate in their Varsity tip-off tournament on Friday.
The Huskies defeated James Buchanan in the semi-final game by a final score of 67-40.
The Huskies had 4 different players in double-figures. Senior forward Jayden Bilger led the way with 19 points. Senior guards Tagg Silfies and Jaylen Bowersox were also in double figures, Silfies scoring 14 with Bowersox adding 11. Freshman guard Jack Curry rounded out the players in double figures, scoring 10 in his Varsity debut.
The boys will go for the Championship of the tournament tomorrow night when they battle Greencastle-Antrim, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
