MC boys pick up spirited overtime win over Selinsgrove

The MIfflin County boys basketball team honored their seniors in grand style Monday night as they won a thrilling 64-59 overtime victory over Selinsgrove.

Owen Wise caught fire with an 18-point effort while teammate Cade Penepacker tallied 16 en route to the victory.

Tied at 52 going into the extra period, it would be a total team effort as Wise tallied three and four teammates had two each.

Defensively, the Huskies held the Seals to seven while its offense had 12 to capture the victory.

In the first, Selinsgrove took the early advantage by rallying a 14-8 margin.

They would also outscore the Huskies in the second by one point at 11-10.

When the intermission buzzer sounded, the Seals lead 25-18.

But the second half would belong to the Huskies as they regrouped and went on a mission to take the lead.

When the final buzzer sounded in the contest, MIfflin County did just that outscoring Selinsgrove 34-27.
