MC girls fall to tough Palmyra squad

It was a tough night for the MIfflin County girls soccer team Wednesday as it couldn’t find a way to get a goal against a strong Palmyra team, falling 4-0

Maddie Julian started the first goal of the season :58 into the game.

Midway through the first Megan Kreiser made it 2-0 with a goal at 27:37.

Alexa Gulliver added to the Palmyra lead with a second half goal at the 45:16 mark.

Zainab Mushtag rounded out the scoring at 46:06.

Palmyra led in shots by an 11-5 margin.

MIfflin County held the edge in corners by a 5-3 tally.

Goalkeeper for Palmyra, Hope Webb finished with five saves while MIfflin County keeper Bailey McNitt finished with seven.

MIfflin County falls to 3-5 in Mid-Penn action and 3-7 overall. The Huskies next game is 10/22 at home vs Lower Dauphin.

In JV action, Palmya topped the Lady Huskies 1-0.
