MC tops EJ in field hockey

MC 3, East Juniata 0

LEWISTOWN – The Mifflin County girls field hockey team used a three goal second half to lift themselves over a stubborn and aggressive East Juniata team, 3-0.

Marissa Byler picked up a pass by Maria Fowler at the 18:35 mark that opened the Mifflin County scoring, 1-0.

Kezia Loht picked up her first goal of the game, upping to the lead to 2-0, as she received a pass by Grace Wagner with 5:55 left in the game.

Annie Harshbarger after an assist from Kezia Loht put the game on ice with  4:02 left, ending the game scoring.

Mifflin County out shot the Tigers 16-8. The Huskies also held the advantage in corner opportunities 8-4. In the JV game MC blanked EJ 2-0.
