MC15s explode for 25 runs en route to win over Millville

MILROY – Friday night, the Mifflin County15-year old Babe Ruth All-Star team took On Millville at legendary Armagh Memorial Field.
Mifflin County started out hot with the bats scoring three runs in the first inning. It would be the first of many more to come as Mifflin County would put up 25 runs to defeat Millville 25-12 In a slugfest for Mifflin County.
Mifflin County swung the bats well in the victory.
Evan Strohecker recorded four hits while fellow teammate Logan Ruth had timely hitting smashing the ball with two doubles in the game and two singles.
New Jersey put up eight runs in the second inning.
Millville would take the lead 8-6 After some defensive struggles for Mifflin County.
Marcellas Preston and Ayden Jenkins both had a pair of hits tonight resulting in singles.
Ryder Stackhouse had two singles on the night as well.
The Bats were kept quiet for Millville the rest of the game. Mifflin County had some bright spots despite the sloppy play on the defensive side.
In the Bottom of the fifth inning Mifflin county ended the inning with a Triple Play. Michael Mcnitt,Landon Haigh and Reese Christine all pitched In relief.
Gabriel Blesdsoe pitched 2/3 of of an inning striking out one while walking four batters giving up seven hits and six runs in the losing effort.
It was a late night game not ending until almost midnight it was an exciting game adding to MIfflin County’s long and distinguished history. Pool Play will continue Saturday For both Teams.
